This privacy policy ("policy” , “privacy policy”) will help you understand how SixEngines, LLC ("us", "we", "our") uses and protects your data.

Who are we?

SixEngines, LLC is a Texas Domestic Limited Liability Company headquartered in Austin, Texas. We provide enterprise security assessments (“Services, Reports”) to improve your security intelligence and provide areas for improvement.

We take your security and privacy seriously.  Our Services are to improve your network and end-point security.  We will never intentionally violate that trust.

When Collect Data

We collect data from you in several ways, which include:

  1. When you engage us to provide Services.

  2. When you contact us and provide information.

  3. When you enter a contract with us.

  4. When you run our end-point security agent.

  5. When we provide you with security Services.

  6. When you use our website (

  7. When you use our hosted console as part of your Services engagement.

Information we Collect

When you visit our website, including our console, we may collect the following information:

  • Your IP address.

  • Your contact information, including name, phone number, and email address.  This may include Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

  • Other information that you provide in webforms, such as information you provide when you engage our Services or ask for assistance.

  • Your personal preferences (site customization).

  • Data profiling online behavior of our website.

When you run our end-point agents, we may collect the following:

  • Data about the end-point (“your computer”).

  • Data that will help your Network and Security Operations identify a specific end-point for improving your security posture using our Services Report.

Our end-point security agents will never collect:

The contents of your document files on your computer.  For example, we do not inspect the specific words in your letter to your grandmother.  We may use technologies such as fingerprinting or hashing to inspect documents in aggregate without viewing the actual contents.  We may also use configuration files, system logs, and your Windows Registry for analysis.  These never leave your system.  We do not upload your documents for analysis.

When you engage Services, we may collect the following information:

  • Your contact information, including your name phone number and email address.  This may include Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

  • Information about your company and your company’s network.

  • Information necessary to enter into a Services agreement with you.

  • Information necessary to perform our Services with you.

Why we Collect Your Data

We are collecting data for several reasons:

  • To perform our Services.

     Our agents need to collect information about your end-point (computer) in order to                 provide you with end-point security analysis and results.  That’s pretty obvious, right?


     We may similarly use data you provide us during our Services engagement to assist you in       understanding your Report and implementing any remediation measures that you deem         appropriate.

     We need your information for our business operations, such as notifying you of                         information regarding your analysis Report, your account, and billing.  That’s also pretty           obvious, right?

  • To better understand your needs.

  • To improve our website and services.

  • To customize our website (including the console) based on your behavior, our analysis of your security posture, and personal preferences.

SixEngines never shares your data without your explicit permission.  We do not sell, rent, exchange, or otherwise allow your Services data or Personal Information (PII) to be disclosed to another party, except under contractual agreements that safeguard your data in accordance with our Policy for the purposes of providing you services or administering your account.

Safeguarding your Data

SixEngines understands the importance of your data.  We are committed to keeping your data secure and confidential.  SixEngines uses commercially accepted means to secure your data, both on our servers and in transit.

Data sent from the end-point security agents to our server uses commercial-grade encryption (HTTPS, TLS).  The private data within the package is also protected independently using commercial-grade encryption.


Cookies are small data files stored on your computer.  Cookies are between your browser and a website.  Cookies may include an anonymous, unique identifier.

Like many websites, we use cookies to collect information.  Cookies may be used to customize your experience on our website (including the console).  Cookies may also be used for such things as statistical analysis to improve our website.

You may have your browser disable or refuse cookies.  However, doing so may impact your ability to use our website.

Hosted Services and Privacy

The Console

The “console” refers to a hosted website that may be provided to you during a Services engagement.  You might use the console to view your Reports and for self-service.  This is not

The console is hosted.  This means that it runs from cloud-services provider, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.  Because it is a hosted provider, that provider may have its own Privacy Policy concerning the use of their site.

Data collected by us is safe, even when you access it from a hosted console.  Any access to that data will be covered by our contractual agreements with that company and appropriate non-disclosure agreements (NDA).

Cloud Services

SixEngines uses hosted Cloud Providers as our contracted partners to host our website and provide data services.  These may include GoDaddy and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 

These Cloud Service Providers are covered by this Policy when used by us to provide our Services and host our website.  Your data is secure, as described in this Policy.  SixEngines has contractual and appropriate non-disclosure agreements (NDA).

Links to Other Websites

Our website (including the console) may contain links to other websites.  If you click on these links, you are leaving our website, and SixEngines is not responsible for your data and privacy protection.  Visiting those websites is not governed by this Privacy Policy.

Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time.  You should return to this page to check this Privacy Policy periodically.  Your continued use of our Services after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications.

Not a Legal Document

This policy is not a legal document.

You should use this policy to help you understand how we collect and use your data.  Your engagement will specify SixEngines’ contractual obligations.

Information herein should not be considered legal advice.  You may have other rights or obligations provided by law.
